JAC Group appointed by Kaye Scholer
JAC are proud to announce we have been appointed as the Design and Project Management team for the relocation of prominent US law firm, Kaye Scholer LLP.
Kaye Scholer will be moving from their Aldersgate Street offices to the 33rd floor of the CityPoint building, where they will occupy 13,000 square feet of Grade A office space.
This century-old law firm focuses on two key sectors – life sciences and financial services. Providing a range of services within these sectors, Kaye Scholer operates across multiple legal jurisdictions, including the US, Canada, China, EU as well as the UK.
This will mark the fourth job that JAC has been involved with in the iconic CityPoint building, which was partially demolished, enlarged and redeveloped in 2001.
Originally named Britannic House, CityPoint was built in 1967 as the 35-storey, 122 metres (400 ft) tall headquarters for British Petroleum (now BP), becoming the first building in the City of London area to exceed the height of St Paul’s Cathedral.
This project follows JAC’s Project Management appointment by Willkie Farr & Gallagher to oversee a 12,000 square feet expansion within Citypoint, and the migration of fellow US law firm Vinson & Elkins RLLP from CityPoint to the Walkie Talkie building at 20 Fenchurch Street. This 24,000 square feet project saw completion in Q1 of 2016.
Lead Consultant, Lawrence Mohiuddine commented:
‘…Professional services organisations, particularly those in finance, insurance and the legal sector find great synergy with the independent and transparent management services provided by JAC. It is not only an issue of corporate governance but plays to the inherent methodology that exists within these companies.
The work conducted by JAC in the legal sector across the past 18 months, which extends to key engagements with Cripps, Beale & Company and Cahill Gordon & Reindel is nothing short of remarkable and reflective of our standing and reputation in this sector…’
