Completion For Food & Drink Federation in WC1
The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) moved into its new headquarters in Central London and unveiled a new visual identity in early November.
After more than twenty years based in Catherine Street in London’s Covent Garden FDF is now operating from the 6th floor at 10 Bloomsbury Way, WC1. The new location, equidistant between Holborn and Tottenham Court Road tube stations, is just ten minutes’ walk from the previous office and is ideally placed for the new Elizabeth Line (Crossrail), which is due for completion and opening in 2019.
FDF’s brand new open-plan offices offer staff and members a high-quality working environment including ultra fast WiFi, great refreshments and a range of open-plan spaces as well as meeting and quiet rooms from which to work.
The new 8,500 square foot space took a design and build route of procurement. JAC provided cost consultancy services, appraising the detailed construction costs associated with all aspects of the project.
JAC moved beyond simple contractor negotiation to a position whereby the team expertly appraised the true cost of a project by looking at manufacturing, labour, supplier and subcontractor costs. This deep dive into the supply chain places the client in an informed position with greater leverage for negotiation.
