JAC Group were appointed to provide project management and cost consultancy services for Asahi Beer’s office move from 1 Forge End, Woking to their new space at Asahi House, Chertsey Road, Woking. Asahi took on the whole building comprising of 35,121 sq ft over 5 floors.

As with many large companies we work with, the JAC team faced governance challenges as the client underwent three organisational changes during the project. Covid meant that a firm hand was needed to guide our client and give them the information required allowing them to make decisions on time.

This was the first time Asahi have managed a whole building as opposed to having a floor/s in a multi-tenanted space and this drives different challenges into the project and the ongoing management of the office all of which were considered in the design phase.

Numerous structural elements were considered on the project for the beer cellar, bar, full catering kitchen and café. These areas all needed noise reduction techniques in place to comply with the acoustic requirements.

The extensive change management was carried out internally by Asahi with support from the JAC team.
