JAC were appointed by Smart Pension to provide Project Management, Cost Consultancy and Contract Administration services in support of Smart’s new London Head Quarters.

The team provided advice as the Smart team conducted a building search, took a full project brief and ran a competitive tender process.

As the wider team was formed and selected, and a building agreed, the JAC team worked closely with the landlord, overseeing the base build completion and complex licence to alter process. 136 George Street, set over seven floors was developed by Native Land.

As the office design developed, JAC closely tracked budgets and risk ensuring that when the new office space provide the technical, aesthetic and overall vision that Smart Pension wanted to provide for their employees and stakeholders. The fit out was procured on a design and build basis, with audio visual and furniture as separate packages.

The new Smart Building is a flagship project for the JAC team; an avatar and impressive stairway greets Smart clients and employees as they enter the space. The top floor provides a flexible entertaining and meeting suite.

Smart engaged JAC Group to assist with our office move project only a couple of weeks before the global pandemic started. In spite of this challenge, JAC has supported us at every step of the project from selecting a building, space planning, tendering for a design and build company all the way through to being on site each week for project meetings as the fit-out works progressed.

We have really enjoyed working alongside the team at JAC on this project and are delighted with our new home at The Smart Building. Thanks very much, JAC!
