JAC are delighted to be working with our clients on sustainability and wellbeing focused fit out projects.
The main accreditations are BREEAM, Ska, WELL and FitWel, we are also working on a number of Carbon Neutral Schemes.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), first published by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) in 1990, is the world’s longest established method of assessing, rating, and certifying the sustainability of buildings.
SKA rating is an environmental assessment method, benchmark and standard for non-domestic fit-outs, led and owned by RICS.
The WELL Building Standard is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing, through seven core areas – air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind.
Fitwel certification includes design strategies and policies to optimise health and wellness among occupants. These strategies include proven ways to lower stress levels, reduce injury and absenteeism, and mitigate the risk of contagious disease transmission and chronic illness — ultimately improving occupant productivity.
