NewDay Reconfigure
NewDay is a financial services company specialising in providing credit products
Project Overview
JAC Group were delighted to work with NewDay again, after previously project managing the original fit-out a few years ago.
On this occasion NewDay engaged JAC to project manage the reconfiguration of departments within their existing office environment along with a few new exciting features. This meant works would be carried out in the occupied office space which is challenging (in) itself. Sensitively programming noisy works, relocating staff, reconfiguration of existing lighting design while factoring in time constraints, the structural integrity of a building above a railway and keeping their staff happy throughout the duration of the project was quite an accomplishment!
About the Building
7 Handyside offers a contemporary style with steel framed windows delivering unlimited natural daylight to the interior space – two floors with mezzanine levels.
Built in 1850, it started life as a temporary passenger terminal while King’s Cross station was being built. After the completion of the station, the building was used for handling and storing goods brought to King’s Cross from across the country.
The Grade II Listed building was sympathetically restored to the building it is today.
This building is fortunate to be situated in a slightly quieter environment, however, for those who crave it – the liveliness of Kings Cross Station is a mere ten-minute walk away.
